Q. What does DYAD mean?
A. The word DYAD has many meanings.
- A dyad symbol
- A dyad (general) pair, consisting of two parts
- A dyad (music) is any two notes or pitches
- A dyad (sociology) is group of two people
- A dyad (biology) is a pair of chromosomes during melosis
- Dyadic (used mainly in mathmatics)
- The Greek philosophers called the principle of “twoness” or “otherness”, dyad (Greek philosophy)
- The word “dyad” comes from the Greek “dyas” meaning the number two.
Q. Who can put a “Parent Ad” in the yearbook?
A. “Parent Ad” doesn’t mean only parents can put ads in the yearbook. You can put in an ad for a friend, the whole class, what ever you want as long as it is acceptable.
Q. How long can a senior quote be?
A. A senior quote can not be more than 300 characters. That includes spaces and punctuation.
Q. Where can I get my senior portrait taken?
A. DYAD recommends Photos by Paige, email her at Pgilbertgo@aol.com. If you use another studio you are responsible for making sure your portrait is delivered to us before the deadline.
Q. When does the production of the next years book begin?
A. We begin production almost immediatly when the current book is finished.
Q. Who do I contact if I want to work on the yearbook?
A. You can send an email to dyad@lsrhs.net or come to the DYAD office to speak with someone. We are always looking for students to work on the book.
